This pin symbolizes respect for the great achievements and feats of glorious warriors, for the losses that cost hundreds of lives, and for being a true Nationalist. There are countless variations of the “Idea of the Nation” emblem, formed by combining the letters I and N, and all of them are united by the idea of loyalty to Ukraine and the Nation until the very end.

The “assault” design evolved from the “attacking” design, and in 2022, the symbol became the basis for the chevron of the Third Assault Brigade. In popular interpretation, it is often portrayed as the Roman numeral III, referencing the brigade’s number or the letter “Ш.”
