Columbia Excelso (apple jam, almonds, chocolate)
This coffee comes from the Huila region, located in the Magdalena River Valley between the majestic Andean mountain ranges in Colombia.
Coffee from this area is known for its unique flavor profile, featuring bright acidity, medium body, and sweet fruity notes. The region has gained international recognition thanks to numerous victories in the Cup of Excellence and holds Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) status.
The Huila Central Coffee Cooperative—Coocentral—is a nonprofit association that brings together approximately 3,128 members in the municipalities of Garzón, Gigante, Agrado, Pital, Tarki, Suasa, and Guadalupe.
Founded in 1975, the cooperative initially provided services such as coffee purchasing and the sale of agricultural supplies. Today, Coocentral has grown into a major industrial coffee hub with the country’s largest drying station, specialized equipment for both large-scale production and micro-lots, warehouses, and a quality control laboratory.
